Five of the seven club championship events have now been completed, and the overall scores are showing some very tight battles with two events left to go.
Cyclocross
We used the Newbury round of the Wessex league for our 2019 cyclocross championship, and we were blessed with better weather than Abingdon the year before (when it snowed!).
Lots of fantastic racing from experienced cx’ers, and riders racing for the first time.
MTB
After not being able to run a MTB club champs race last year, we were determined to put one on this year. We made use of the Southern XC round near Basingstoke, and the racing between the PPV riders was as fast and furious as ever.
Track
Held a few weeks back, the track champs consists of pursuit, sprint and bunch race events, with individual honours for each.
It was fantastic to see determined and close racing across all categories, with all riders putting their track skills to good use.
Overall scores
The overall scores for the 5 events so far can be found online below. Some categories are particularly tight, and will come down to the skills and circuit races to crown our 2019 club champions.
