As many of you are aware, a number of riders and coaches are on a mountain biking trip to Afan in Wales on Saturday 12th March.

I have received a number of questions from parents about sessions that day and am pleased to let you know that the following sessions will run:

  1. The A and B sessions will go ahead as usual with John Wann leading.
  1. I am sorry but due to no coaching cover there will not be a C session.
  1. Instead of the C session there will be an extended Freewheel session run by Tim Macfarlane and Leigh Mason from 11am until the usual finishing time.

The lead coaches will no doubt be in touch nearer the time with their plans.

Whist writing there are two other things I thought I would mention. The first is a reminder of the Circuit Racing and Time Trial session at Newbury Showground on Saturday 19th. As yet, I have not had any offers of help for setting up and marshalling on the day – please let me know if you can help.

Also for the next four Sundays there are circuit races being organised at Enstone near Oxford by Zappis. For younger riders – U12 and below there are multiple races with coaching too. There are places still available for this Sunday (6th) for the U8-U12 youths although the U14/16 race is sold out. Here is the link if you are interested. Enstone is a fairly flat motor racing circuit and great for spectating with a nice café.
